Merry Christmas From Bright Citizen.com!
Is Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin A Dictator?

(BrightCitizen.com) The former KGB agent makes fun of protests in Moscow complaining of election fraud.
“Frankly, when I looked at the television screen and saw something hanging from someone’s chest, honestly, it’s indecent, but I decided that it was propaganda to fight Aids – that they were wearing, pardon me, a condom,”
Apparently, many things have happened that seem to indicate Putin is not for a free Russia. Putin instigated a questionable jailing of one of Russia’s most successful businessmen, Mikhail Khodorkovsky in 2003 for tax evasion. There seems to be a rising sense of dissatisfaction among the people that Putin’s self promotion as a tough guy (search on the internet under his name for pictures) and old controlling and deceiving KGB ways could be coming back out to rig the elections.
Is Putin a dictator? It seems like many are thinking he is going that direction. We hope not.
Mitt Romney May Have Money But He Is Losing Credibility
(BrightCitizen.com) As we were leaning towards throwing our support towards Mitt Romney a few months back, however we have seen actions of the campaign speak even louder than his words.
With Mitt Romney advertising that misquotes Obama, and now another round of adverts misquoting and misleading on Gingrich, it is clear that Romney has gone towards Darth Vader’s ‘Dark Side’ as the famous Star Wars movie scripts the evil character coercing the good character Luke Skywalker to ‘Come To The Dark Side’.
In American politics, the candidates are held to higher standards than their Asian and European counterparts. If you do a search on Mitt Romney + lying + liar you will find sites like Rolling Stone magazine, ABC News and a myriad of bloggers highlighting the misuse of information by the Romney campaign. Americans are not so ignorant to believe misquotes by any candidate.
We truly hope that positive will take the campaigning to a higher level. Maybe Romney could learn a thing or two from passionately positive Tim Tebow, quarterback of the Denver Broncos. Build up people, and everyone does well.
Need To Go To the Home Center? Go To Lowes!
(BrightCitizen.com) California Sen. Ted Lieu (D-Torrance) is considering a boycott of Lowes because the N. Carolina based company decided not to advertise on a show about Muslim-Americans the LA Times reports.

Calling the retail giant’s decision “un-American” and “naked religious bigotry,” Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance, told The Associated Press on Sunday that he would also consider legislative action if Lowe’s doesn’t apologize to Muslims and reinstate its ads. The senator sent a letter outlining his complaints to Lowe’s Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Niblock.
You would think a company has a right to advertise wherever they want. In this particular case, Lowes apparently heard from American Christians that it was probably not a good idea to support that particular show. Lowes made it’s own decision.
We recommend if you need to buy something for your home, forget the competition, support Lowes and shop there. We need to support companies rights to manage their own budgets.
Don’t bow to the hypocrisy of political correctness. Go for it Lowes. We support you!

United States Most Uncivilized Nation In World For Foreign Visitors
(BrightCitizen.com) Upon entering the United States at any major airport, you are greeted by immigration officers that think they are police officers. Unarmed passengers’ first Americans to meet are these agents that are armed, male or female, healthy or overweight; every one of them has a gun. We are not sure why? For uncontrolled entry points we would understand.
Many politicians and even pastors frequently state that the United States is the ‘greatest nation on the earth’. Of course it is a wonderful country, but what is the ‘greatest’ part they are referring to? Foreign business executives or workers from any nation are assumed to be wanting to sneak into the country. There is incredible pressure for frequent visitors to have a Greencard if you visit more than once every six months. Moreover, these immigrations officers tend to make visitors feel like criminals. One European c-level executive of a major US-based corporation commented this week, “I travel more than most flight attendants to many countries each year. I grew up in the states but every time I go through immigration I am baffled than one agent can hassle someone so much.”
If Americans really want to be greatest nation then we need to tailor our dealings with our guests based on the countries of origin and more importantly their travel history.
Hypocritical Justice, U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker in San Francisco
(Brightcitizen.com) The beauty of democracy is that the people of the US republic can make a decision by a majority vote. Unfortunately, it may not always be the best outcome. In the State of California, the majority of the citizens spoke and concluded that gay marriage was not an option. In November 2008, Proposition 8, the California Marriage Act was approved by majority vote. Regardless of the outcome, the petitions were signed to address the issue and the vote was won.
The opposition appealed the decision of the vote, Mormon as well as several evangelical Christian Churches were defaced, and U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker in San Francisco took up the case. The problem was that Walker was an active homosexual. Most jurists at this point would remove themselves from a case as their bias is obvious. Unfortunately, Judge Walker didn’t and people are questioning the decision he has made. A decision to mute the decision of the people.
Judges are a very important part of a free society. However when the judgments lose credibility justice is no longer served.
The Dark Side Of Amnesty International
(BrightCitizen.com) Amnesty International seems to promote fairness and liberty. Their motto is
Working to protect human rights.
However, when you look at their actions there seems to be a bit of hypocrisy. Human rights do not apply to world leaders they don’t like. Good national leaders sometimes have to make difficult decisions and administer the law of the land.
What may have started out as a good idea seems to just be a platform to attack people that don’t agree with “Amnesty”. Recently, they called for the arrest of the Bush family as they travel Africa. How can a group outside of the justice system of a sovereign nation decide what is right or wrong?
There is definitely abuse in our world. There needs to be a voice that is compassionate and working to end the horrible acts towards our fellow man in the world. However, Amnesty International approaches the Greenpeace style of pushing your way over listening to others and advocating violence rather than resolving issues though dialog and due process.
Happy Thanksgiving From Bright Citizen.com
Clearly Thanksgiving has been a wonderfully influential holiday in the US to other countries around the world. Canada got into the act of setting aside a day to celebrate thankfulness to God for the life in our bodies and the love in our families. Even the Japanese have a day of thanksgiving.
At BrightCitizen.com we are pleased to wish you the best Thanksgiving ever. Enjoy your family and friends and thank God for His answers to prayer as we engage the Creator of the Universe, Almighty God.
Happy Thanksgiving!
