US President Obama Drops God From Thanksgiving Celebrations

Probably the most Jesus Christ related holiday besides Christmas in the US is Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is known as the day when the majority of Americans give thanks to God Almighty for the nation we have and the families we love.

Although US president’s have varied in their levels of commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, many citizens since 2008 have noted have Barak Obama has not only shown any lack of commitment (as noted in  “Is Barak Obama A Committed Christian?”) but has many actions that are anti-Christ.  Are the citizens beginning to see a pattern?  You can decide for yourself.

Here are the excerpts from his Thanksgiving Day talk.

Remarks of President Barack Obama

Weekly Address

Thursday, November 24, 2011

The White House

From my family to yours, I’d like to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Like millions of Americans, Michelle, Malia, Sasha and I will spend the day eating great food, watching a little football, and reflecting on how truly lucky we truly are.

As Americans, each of us has our own list of things and people to be thankful for.  But there are some blessings we all share.

We’re especially grateful for the men and women who defend our country overseas. To all the service members eating Thanksgiving dinner far from your families: the American people are thinking of you today.  And when you come home, we intend to make sure that we serve you as well as you’re serving America.

We’re also grateful for the Americans who are taking time out of their holiday to serve in soup kitchens and shelters, making sure their neighbors have a hot meal and a place to stay. This sense of mutual responsibility – the idea that I am my brother’s keeper; that I am my sister’s keeper – has always been a part of what makes our country special. And it’s one of the reasons the Thanksgiving tradition has endured.

The very first Thanksgiving was a celebration of community during a time of great hardship, and we have followed that example ever since. Even when the fate of our union was far from certain – during a Civil War, two World Wars, a Great Depression – Americans drew strength from each other. They had faith that tomorrow would be better than today.

We’re grateful that they did. As we gather around the table, we pause to remember the pilgrims, pioneers, and patriots who helped make this country what it is. They faced impossible odds, and yet somehow, they persevered. Today, it’s our turn.

I know that for many of you, this Thanksgiving is more difficult than most. But no matter how tough things are right now, we still give thanks for that most American of blessings, the chance to determine our own destiny. The problems we face didn’t develop overnight, and we won’t solve them overnight. But we will solve them. All it takes is for each of us to do our part.

With all the partisanship and gridlock here in Washington, it’s easy to wonder if such unity is really possible. But think about what’s happening at this very moment: Americans from all walks of life are coming together as one people, grateful for the blessings of family, community, and country.

If we keep that spirit alive, if we support each other, and look out for each other, and remember that we’re all in this together, then I know that we too will overcome the challenges of our time.

So today, I’m thankful to serve as your President and Commander-and-Chief. I’m thankful that my daughters get to grow up in this great country of ours. And I’m thankful for the chance to do my part, as together, we make tomorrow better than today.

Thanks, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Years of mismanagement has bankrupted the US government

Many Americans are frustrated with the rate of entitlement spending by novice us president barak Obama. The United States is heading towards bankruptcy after years of governing beyond its means. Will Obama provide leadership? Will congressional interests work for the citizens?

The Biased Media Attack On Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich Begins

(BrightCitizen.com)  We all knew it would happen.  Whomever doesn’t tow the CNN, MSNBC line must be a radical and cannot be mainstream.  Unfortunately, ‘mainstream’ to the biased media means generally people who don’t believe in the traditional family, are pro-life, and believe that work is something you do well and you will grow financially and academically.

Now that Mr. Herman Cain has lost the lead in the polls due to the dubious sexual harassment accusations it seems the media attack has changed.  Jack Abramoff fired one of the early shots by calling Newt Gingrich a dirty politician in his piece on Reuters entitled, All Of Washington Swims In Newt’s Swap.  Aren’t we fed up with name calling and willing to give someone a chance?  Anyone who has ever run a business will realize 1m USD is not much to talk about.  People need to earn a living and most people will accept whatever a company pays them for their work.  Why don’t we ask the people who requested the service about it rather than assuming it was illegal or dirty?

Furthermore, Americans don’t need witch hungering mentality like Mr. Abramoff’s article is attempting to do, attacking someone because they were somehow in office.  Could he is prejudiced against Mr. Gingrich or the ideals he stands for?

Of course, lobbyists and interest groups in Washington are corrupt and should be banned.  A recent interview of a lobbyist by Mike Huckabee sheds some bright lights on how easy it is for these people to go over the line of honesty.  Clearly, this is something that needs attention in the nation’s capital.  When you dig down, you find that Jack Abramoff was the guy who went to prison.

Just because there is corruption in Washington, does that anyone who has served in Washington or worked for the government is corrupt until death?  We think not.  The best engineer to fix a system is a person who understand how it works.  Rather than trying to beat up someone because citizens’ interest in the polls are rising, let’s ask more questions and get a good understanding of what they would do when they were in office.

Clearly many business professionals regret the lack of not getting to better know our current president and some members of congress before they were put into office.  People are getting smarter as we see the rise of the Tea Party movement in the country forcing politicians as well as the people who support them to be more transparent.

As for Mr. Gingrich, let him debate, let him compete for the job.  Competition is what brings growth.

Is US President Barak Obama A Committed Christian?

Is Barak Obama a committed Christian?  First of all what is a Committed Christian?  A Committed Christian is a person who carefully and wholly follows the teachings of Jesus the Messiah and is a regular attender of a fellowship of believers working daily to follow Him.  Jesus said that we are not to judge others hypocritically but that His followers are supposed to follow His teachings.  Jesus said believers are supposed to have fruit (good positive results).

In a Family Talk with Dr. James Dobson broadcast last week, Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council made it what many committed Christians are thinking saying,

“I have no doubt, as you look back over the last two and a half of years of this administration, that the president has used his bully pulpit—he has done public policy but beyond the public policy that he’s pushed for—that it’s created an atmosphere that is hostile toward Christianity,” Perkins said.

Over the last 2.5 years of the Obama presidency, we have seen actions that go against the teachings of Jesus the Messiah.

-Bans on federal funding to be used for abortion were immediately lifted when he took office

-He said he was a member of a church were the pastor preached prejudice and only disassociated once the media reported on the church teachings of hate and division.

-Before and during president we do not know what church he actually attends as he does not meet regularly with any believers.

-He promotes homosexual marriage that is direct contradiction to Biblical teaching to both Jews and followers of Jesus.

-He cancelled the national day of prayer and has created an anti-Christian environment in government.

-In four separate instances has voted against bills that would protect aborted babies that were born alive.

There are many things that demonstrate that he does not have the fruit of a follower of Jesus.  If you want to see their fruit you can look at what they do.  Their ‘fruit’.  Actions speak louder than words, but in the case of Barak Obama regarding whether he truly follows Jesus or not; his words speak just as loud as his actions.

In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani he said,

I believe that there are many paths to the same place.

All people of faith, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Animists- EVERYONE knows the same God.

In a meeting of evangelical leaders in 2008, when asked if Jesus was the only way to God he replied.

Jesus is the only way for me.

There is so much material out there that shows He is not a follower of Jesus.  Followers of Jesus believe and follow the Bible.  Followers of Jesus are not to hypocritically judge other believers, however looking at the fruit that Jesus told us to display in our lives is essential for protecting ourselves against false teachers, hypocrites and those who are anti-Christ.

In American politics, many career politicians say they are Christians so that they can appeal to the masses of Christians in the United States populace.  This is very clearly the case with Barak Obama… a true ‘political Christian’.

Barak Obama seems to speak enough of the Christian language to talk about being ‘saved’ but his actions and words speak louder than just saying he knew “Jesus as His Savior.”

US President Barak Obama Announces Deployment of US Marines To Australia

(BrightCitizen.com)  Good on ya mate!  (Australian for ‘Good for you’).  We never thought we would see the day when the Americans would dispatch military personal to Australia.  However US President Barak Obama in a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard  announced the dispatch of American Marines to Australia.  The BBC reports

Australia has agreed to host a full US Marine task force in the coming years, Prime Minister Julia Gillard has announced at a news conference with US President Barack Obama in Canberra.

She said about 250 US Marines would arrive next year, eventually being built up to 2,500 personnel.

The deployment is being seen as a move to counter China’s growing influence.

But Mr Obama said the US was “stepping up its commitment to the entire Asia-Pacific”, not excluding China.

The interesting thing to note is that although Barak Obama campaigned to get into office on a ‘peace not war’ theme. However, he like any other US president, had to get his reality check and after entering office had to make sure his nation is competitive.

However, the dispatch does make one wonder if it is really necessary.  Aren’t their enough US soldiers dispatched in Asia Pacific with numerous bases in Japan and Korea, not to mention Hawaii and Guam?

Staying Above The Fray- French President Nicolas Sarkozy And Keeping Positive

(Bright Citizen.com) One of the things you learn in business is that it is best to keep all your options open.  It is dangerous to voice your feelings of the moment.  The Guardian of the reported on the subject on Tuesday, 8 November 2011 as well as other news sources saying,

French President Nicolas Sarkozy branded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “a liar” in a private conversation with U.S. President Barack Obama that was accidentally broadcast to journalists during last week’s G20 summit in Cannes.

“I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar,” Sarkozy told Obama, unaware that the microphones in their meeting room had been switched on, enabling reporters in a separate location to listen in to a simultaneous translation.

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Obama replied, according to the French interpreter.

The representative leaders of countries should be standing above the fray.  They should not be criticizing or calling names of other political leaders as that is a poor representation of their country.  Both Barak Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy are an examples of that.

The sad part is Sarkozy should be directing those comments at himself as he broke his marriage vows to marry another woman.  Divorce is tragic.

On the American side, the ‘hope and change’ honeymoon with Mr. Obama has come to an end as evidenced by his approval ratings with leaders in the United States, therefore these types of comments from Barak Obama are no surprise.  Many are still flabbergasted that the President of the United States ignorantly bowed to the Japanese emperor on 14 November 2009.  He evidently didn’t know how to deal with the world’s leaders and clearly that is overflowing with his dealing with American’s important ally Israel.

More importantly, Sarkozy should maybe consider the background of the Israeli situation as no one wants to have their land taken from them.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is no liar but one of the most reliable leaders in the Middle East.  We wish people who have been selected to represent their nations will make an extra effort to stay above the fray of name calling and derogatory comments which should be limited to children on the playground.

US President Barak Obama Judges American Businesses As Lazy

(Bright Citizen.com)  US President Barak Obama judges American businesses as being a ‘bit lazy’ over the last few decades with foreign and US dignitaries at APEC meeting one news site reports-

HONOLULU – President Obama said that the United States has gotten a “little bit lazy” when it comes to bringing in new businesses in to the states. He made the comments at a CEO summit as part of the APEC conference Saturday, when asked by Boeing CEO James McNerney about looking at the world from a Chinese perspective and what they might consider as impediments to investing.

Although unions are famous in the United States for making American companies less competitive, negative comments from the current American President about American businesses will not be taken lightly.  The American president should be the chief enthusiast promoting American business and bringing together the people of his nation.  Could the US president be looking to highlight a problem to solve for a second term?

A New Leader Rises From The Ranks of the Republican Presidential Candidates- Newt Gingrich

(Bright Citizen.com)  With little financing and many challenges the presidential campaign of Newt Gingrich was less than an underdog.  However, with this year’s intensive debate schedule voters have had the opportunity to become very familiar with the candidates.  Fox News reports

The new polls continue to show Cain and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at the top. But Gingrich has carved out a space right alongside them.

A McClatchy-Marist poll showed Romney leading with 23 percent, and Gingrich close behind with 19 percent. Cain was trailing slightly with 17 percent.

A CBS News poll also released Friday showed Cain leading with 18 percent — Romney and Gingrich were close behind with 15 percent each.

Reuters reports a similar story saying.

Republican front-runner Mitt Romney has a new challenge to contend with as presidential candidates brace for another debate on Saturday — the rise of Newt Gingrich.

The former speaker of the House of Representatives is gaining in the polls and may represent conservatives’ last best hope in 2012 in their search for an alternative to the more moderate Romney, now that Herman Cain and Rick Perry are struggling.

Clearly, people are not comfortable with Mitt Romney as many view him as condescending and haughty in the debates as well as being a flip-flopper on the issues that matter.

At BrightCitizen.com, we are excited to see a candidate arise of substance.  We want to see a president in the United States who is seasoned, honorable, and able to make decisions based on a solid understanding of history.  Now 68 years old, the former Speaker of the House, Mr. Gingrich admits he is less than perfect as he confessed that he asked and received God’s forgiveness for how he divorced his ailing wife years ago.  His debate performances and personal efforts to focus candidates of dethroning Barak Obama over attacking each other have shown what seems to be proving to be a perfect strategy.

Moderation was curt and at times rude.  Candidates did well, but the moderators should not be used again.  What do you think?

The facts about sexual harassment in the United States Of America

With the current political attacks on Republican Presidential candidate Mr. Herman Cain, one might wonder what exactly is sexual harassment and specifically what does it mean in the United States of America.

Most of the contributors of BrightCitizen.com are c-level (CEO, CFO, CTO, etc) with extensive experience in business both in the US and abroad.  As any c-level in the US will tell you, sexual harassment accusations against management, in more cases than not, are settled by the accuser signing and agreement and a payment made by the company to avoid the high costs of America’s overabundance of lawyers taking any story to court.  A small sum is usually paid and the person is released.

We have seen outright sexual harassment in the US and abroad.  However like many things in the US, this charge has been abused and in most cases is just an inept employee looking for free money.  This charge should not be taken lightly as it not only wastes a company and their staff’s time, it can also damage the reputation of good people.
