Although chances of Texas Governor Rick Perry being selected candidate of the Republican party are nearly zero, his advertisement hits the nail on the head recognizing the anti-Christian environment promoted by Barak Obama, atheists, and some politicians in America.
Hypocritical Justice, U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker in San Francisco
(Brightcitizen.com) The beauty of democracy is that the people of the US republic can make a decision by a majority vote. Unfortunately, it may not always be the best outcome. In the State of California, the majority of the citizens spoke and concluded that gay marriage was not an option. In November 2008, Proposition 8, the California Marriage Act was approved by majority vote. Regardless of the outcome, the petitions were signed to address the issue and the vote was won.
The opposition appealed the decision of the vote, Mormon as well as several evangelical Christian Churches were defaced, and U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker in San Francisco took up the case. The problem was that Walker was an active homosexual. Most jurists at this point would remove themselves from a case as their bias is obvious. Unfortunately, Judge Walker didn’t and people are questioning the decision he has made. A decision to mute the decision of the people.
Judges are a very important part of a free society. However when the judgments lose credibility justice is no longer served.
Corruption Sentence of 14 Years for Blagojevich

(BrightCitizen.com) Politicians cannot be allowed to cheat. It is sad but good to see there is still some justice in the US. The media notes,
is the fourth former Illinois governor to be convicted of criminal charges since 1973, and received the longest sentence.
U.S. District Judge James Zagel said he “could not comprehend” the defense position that even if Blagojevich were guilty, the governor’s conduct caused no harm to the state of Illinois.
Politicians are an expression of their environment. It is concerning that in the US, Chicago seems to need to make some changes.
We look forward to the day when those Yale University graduates that go back to the Philippines and other lesser developed nations can avoid going into the pig pen of graft, greed, and bribery and hold a higher standard as the future Presidents such as the Clintons and Bushes have been held to. Unfortunately, we will always have corruption, but without justice, it will only increase.
Creating a great environment is crucial for any organization.
Did Unions Kill American Airlines Business?
(BrightCitizen.com) Did unions and organized labor kill the American Airlines business and force them to go bankrupt?
Apparently so, as American pays $6.8 billion in labor costs annually. That is 600M USD more than any other airline pays.
We must seriously evaluate the power of unions in our business if we are to have companies stay in business and continue to provide the services they have committed to.
This could be proof that unions have got everyone paying for their perks. More importantly the non-union competition is what may have taken American Airlines down.
Please Mr. Trump, Stay In Business
(BrightCitizen.com) Yet again we see Donald Trump threatening to run for the US president. Apparently he will be moderating a debate in December. In a recent telephone interview he stated, if he’s not satisfied with the party nominee – he’ll run as an independent saying,
“If I endorse somebody, I’m with that person,” Trump said by phone in Florida. “But if somebody else gets in who I think is somebody that I don’t think is appropriate for the job, I don’t think could win, I don’t think would well and would maybe not be a good president, and if the economy continues to be bad, I would run as an independent, yes. I don’t want to do that, I love what I’m doing, and I’m doing it well, but if — if — those circumstances happen to happen, I would do that, yes.”
No one is going to be completely satisfied with any candidate. We have learned from Barak Obama that the president needs to have experience not just the ability to whip up a crowd. People are not satisfied with politicians but Mr. Trump running for President would likely just be a side show as most people will not consider him a serious candidate for President. Our request to Mr. Trump, please focus on your business.
The Dark Side Of Amnesty International
(BrightCitizen.com) Amnesty International seems to promote fairness and liberty. Their motto is
Working to protect human rights.
However, when you look at their actions there seems to be a bit of hypocrisy. Human rights do not apply to world leaders they don’t like. Good national leaders sometimes have to make difficult decisions and administer the law of the land.
What may have started out as a good idea seems to just be a platform to attack people that don’t agree with “Amnesty”. Recently, they called for the arrest of the Bush family as they travel Africa. How can a group outside of the justice system of a sovereign nation decide what is right or wrong?
There is definitely abuse in our world. There needs to be a voice that is compassionate and working to end the horrible acts towards our fellow man in the world. However, Amnesty International approaches the Greenpeace style of pushing your way over listening to others and advocating violence rather than resolving issues though dialog and due process.
Want To Be Hacked, Tracked, And Profiled? Then You Want An Android Smartphone

If you want to be hacked tracked and profiled, then you should be considering getting one of the Android based phones and installing software from the Android Marketplace. For most IT departments, it is considered a bad copy of an iPhone. Clearly, it made Steve Jobs so upset when he saw Google copying his product, he ejected then Google CEO Eric Schmidt from the Apple board.
Very seriously though, the Android market is not really monitored by Google and therefore there is no filtering of software applications for security or quality.
You can check out the tests of the IT engineer who initially reported the danger here. Professional System Integrator and IT Support firm AINEO Networks raised a similar red flag in August.
For Android, the Bright Citizen word is ‘buyer beware’.
The End of the Herman Cain Campaign For US President

(BrightCitizen.com) For CNN, MSNBC, and other left wing news businesses attacking Republican leaders and candidates is nothing new. When initial charges of sexual harassment broke out regarding candidate Herman Cain, most people tried to look at the issue from both sides. Sexual harassment is a common litigation that most companies want to avoid as we noted in our article, The Facts On Sexual Harassment in The United States.
However, with revelations of a 13 year relationship between the candidate and a woman other than his wife it is clear that there might be more to the story. In Italy or France, candidates can get away with being unfaithful to their spouse much easier than the US. Just look at people like Silvio Berlusconi in Italy or France’s Nicolas Sarkozy.
If you dare to listen to American political talk radio, you will still hear some supporting Mr. Cain, but with revelations of a 13 year affair hitting the streets he will probably have a marriage on the rocks to deal with.
A good rule of thumb for Bright Citizens is whatever you do in the dark is always going to come to the light.
US Congressional Representative Barney Frank Not To Seek Reelection
(BrightCitizen.com) Barney Frank is probably the perfect example of why the United States needs term limits on politicians in the US Senate and the House of Representatives. Mr. Frank has been in Washington DC since 1980. If someone has been doing something for 31 years in government, there is a good chance that their perspective can get skewed.
It is a good day for the United States of America. Term limits please. It could be good to start with 8 years.
Manchester Union Leader in New Hampshire endorses Newt Gingrich
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has picked up the endorsement of the highly influential Manchester Union Leader in New Hampshire, a boost for the 2012 Republican presidential candidate. Check out the article here. The article says,
This newspaper endorses Newt Gingrich in the New Hampshire Presidential Primary.
America is at a crucial crossroads. It is not going to be enough to merely replace Barack Obama next year. We are in critical need of the innovative, forward-looking strategy and positive leadership that Gingrich has shown he is capable of providing.
He did so with the Contract with America. He did it in bringing in the first Republican House in 40 years and by forging balanced budgets and even a surplus despite the political challenge of dealing with a Democratic President. A lot of candidates say they’re going to improve Washington. Newt Gingrich has actually done that, and in this race he offers the best shot of doing it again.
It is excellent to see people are getting a chance to thoroughly vet these Republican candidates. Mr. Gingrich has been through a lot, and although not perfect, seems to be willing to admit his mistakes. We need experience in the Whitehouse as we know what inexperience in government can do to the nation.
