Obama Cuts Citizen’s Whitehouse visits but spends $1M on Golfing In Florida

(BrightCitizen.com) Obama, in a political move to try to get his enemies to raise taxes has tried to creative a look of trouble at the Whitehouse.  He cuts American’s rights to visit and tour Whitehouse while spending $1M USD on a trip to play golf with Tiger Woods in Florida.  On March 5, Texas Rep. Louis Gohmert filed an amendment to a House resolution that would prohibit federal funds from being spent on Obama’s golf trips until public tours of the White House resumed.

Gohmert referenced press reports pegging the cost of a recent Florida golf outing Obama took with Tiger Woods at $1 million. He also cited press reports saying 341 federal workers could have been spared furloughs if Obama had stayed home.

“The president’s travel expenses alone, for the golfing outing with Tiger Woods, would pay for a year of White House visits,” Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer said Thursday. “So I suggest that perhaps he curtail the travel.”

Colin Powell defends Hagel nomination for US Defense Secretary

colinpowell(Brightcitizen.com) Colin Powell defends someone that most US conservatives consider unfit for the job. Including new congressmen who served in Iraq. Congressman Tom Cotton opposes Hagel’s nomination due to Hagel lack of support of the military while they were on there campaign.

Live interview here.

Mr. Powell, yes, we’re sure people appreciate your opinion, but you criticism of the Republican party has likely fallen on deaf ears. You probably lost everyone when you endorsed Barak Obama for President of the United States over people with strong family values and economic competence.

Was Barak Obama Elected Or Crowned?

(BrightCitizen.com) Was Barak Obama elected President of the United States of America or was he crowned King of the United States?  From his actions, many are really beginning to conclude that Barak Obama thinks he’s king.  Why is this?

Barak seems to think that if he wants to do something he’s above the law so he can do whatever he pleases.  Well, what exactly is Mr. Obama doing?  The first thing we should do is follow the money.

1) Obama has spent nearly $1M USD on a dinner for the Mexican President in 2010.  The dinner for the Indian Prime minister cost nearly $500k.  The Washington Examiner reports the following

Gary Walters, who ran presidential household operations for 21 years during Democratic and Republican administrations, before retiring in 2007, told The Examiner the costs reflected in the documents were “excessive. They are high.”

The chief usher of the White House from the Reagan to George W. Bush presidencies, Walters consulted a former White House colleague and said neither of them could recall entertainment costs anywhere near those revealed in the documents provided to The Examiner.

2) Although both parties have used the custom Boeing 747 known as Airforce One on campaign stops.    Most have scheduled other events around their trips related to duties as President.  In 2010, Obama flew more than 172 times.  Looking up 2012, his year as campaigner and chief of the United States is even more concerning.

3) Executive orders- As of 25 Sept 2012 Obama has signed 139 executive orders.  He has skirted Congress on many issues in his “We can’t wait” Campaign… Campaign?  Isn’t he supported to work with other elected officials like himself?

  • June 2012- Halted deportations of illegal aliens without agreement of US Congress.
  • July 2012- Changed welfare policy to allow states to modify work requirements.  Government Accountablity Office concluded he was wrong to skirt the government checks and balances.

Now VP Joe Biden is saying Obama may institute gun control via executive order.

Judging from Barak Obama’s spending habits, focus on campaigning over collaborating with his fellows in Washington, and his actions that indicate he is not willing to listen to the other side many are beginning to think he thinks he was crowned not elected.  What’s next, removing the 8 year term-limit on the office of President?

Obama says US needs to cut costs, Then Raises Salaries of Government Employees

(BrightCitizen.com)  For all Barak Obama’s talk about the government’s need to be responsible, he doesn’t seem to think it matters when it comes to paying himself or his friends in government.

Barak signed an executive order raising salaries of members of congress last week to give more tax money to members of congress to take home.  News reports

Rank-and-file members of Congress would all see a $900 bump next year — up from $174,000. Congressional leaders will receive a slightly higher raise, with the House speaker receiving a $1,100 salary increase to $224,600. The top two Senate leaders will see pay rise $1,000, to $194,400.

Vice President Biden, meanwhile, will see his pay increase from $225,521 last year to $231,900 after his raise goes into effect March 27, 2013.

Mitt Romney nominated for US President, Readies To Beat Obama

(BrightCitizen.com)  Mitt Romney is on his way to replacing Barak Hussein Obama, America’s worst performing president since Jimmy Carter.  Many questions remain about Obama’s past and why money has been spent to hide his past performance/attendance on the universities in his resume.  There are no questions about Mr. Romney.

Mitt Romney introduced himself to the nation Thursday night in Tampa, showing a personal side the leading American entrepreneur and former governor of Massachusetts.

Hit The Road Barak- Newsweek Agrees It’s Time For Barak Obama To Step Aside

(BrightCitizen.com) Amazing to see Newsweek getting a whiff of reality!  Rather than promoting a candidate because he or she is on the left side of political spectrum, Newsweek is looking at achievements and abilities.

Newsweek has really not been known for trying to present both sides of a story politically. However, their article “Why We Need A New President” has done an excellent job of summarizing what the American Chamber of Commerce and the majority of American business people are saying.  It’s time for Barak Obama to move on.

Barak is clearly clueless as a leader of the United States and is presiding over the greatest decline and mismanagement of the United States Of America.  At the current rate, the United States will join the ‘has-beens’ of world power such as the UK, Spain, Rome, and even the vikings in a couple of decades or sooner.  At BrightCitizen, we believe that Mitt Romney is our only hope for getting the US back on track.

Megadeth Band Lead Singer Dave Mustaine Ready To Throw Out Obama

MegaDeth’s lead singer Dave Mustaine has got the US public thinking.  At the Band’s concert in Singapore, Mustaine shared with his fans, his belief that the Aorora Movie theatre shootings, the Sikh shootings and how he sees this as an effort to take control of Americans and their freedoms.  He is not the only person to express this belief.

“My president,” Mustaine began, before pausing to pantomime gagging, “is trying to pass a gun ban, so he’s staging all of these murders, like the Fast and Furious thing down at the border, you know, Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there. And now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple.”

US Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney Picks Go Getter As Vice Presidential Candidate

(BrightCitizen.com)  Before the left-wing media could begin attacking the unknown, Mitt Romney discreetly announced his pick for US Vice President.  Now these sources are looking for things to fault Mr. Paul Ryan on.

From the American perspective, he’s the model citizen who has worked his ways up the ranks and proven extremely effective in communicating what the majority of Americans want- A strong country made up of people who are willing to work hard to be successful.

Good cop, bad cop Barak Obama and Joe Biden

(BrightCitizen.com)  As the former Delaware senator, and know Vice President of the United States, is known as a loose canon what a perfect person to use to make a statement.

“I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual men and women marrying are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties,” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And quite frankly, I don’t see much of a distinction beyond that.”

Biden went on to say the situation is “evolving” and that the “social culture” is changing. In doing so, he cited the hit sitcom “Will & Grace,” which was about a woman living with a gay man. “I think ‘Will & Grace’ probably did more to educate the American public than almost anything anybody’s ever done so far,” he said.

Quoted here.  Clearly Obama is very much a leftist by American standards.  Will he say that he supports gay marriage?  Probably not until after he gets elected.

Romney Would Be Wise To Integrate

(BrightCitizen.com)  Mitt Romney’s organization and planning to get the nomination for US presidential candidate from the Republican party may have paid off.  All the potential candidates to challenge him have suspended their campaigns.  All is left is old man Ron Paul.  Since Paul is over 70 and has no chance in getting the nomination, he cannot be considered a serious contender.

There is a good thing that Romney can learn from the race.  Pick up the good things that supporters liked about their Republican candidates.

-Paul’s followers zeal

-Santorum’s supporter’s desire for someone with a Christian ethic

-Gingrich’s supporters desire for no more business as usual in Washington DC.

We really admired Newt because he was not just a talker as we see with nearly all politicians.  Newt was willing to try something new to address the changing issues the United States faces each year.

Advice for Mitt, look at the strengths of your competitors and bring them in to your campaign.  Don’t pick a Palin, but find a VP candidate that people will like and can help you win.
