Reuters Misreporting Again On Obama Using The Federal Government To Attack States

(BrightCitizen.com) The Presidency of Barak Obama will no doubt go down as the Presidency of Litigation.  Instead of hearing the concerns of the majorities of States and their governments, the Obama administration has decided that spending tax payers money to sue States they don’t agree with or see some potential for ‘buying’ votes.  They have become the bully and vacated the seat of moderation and unity.

Ask any citizen of Arizona and you will have a hard time finding anyone disagreeing with their law authorizing police to check ID for people that could possibly be illegal.  Police check ID of regular citizens all the time for traffic stops. One would wonder what is the big deal.

Reuters news agency must see itself as working for Barak and his crew of nation busters.  When states finally got fed up with Obama and his efforts to derail their efforts to operate Attorney Generals started to respond.  Now  Reuters tries to write it up as a Republican conspiracy.  They say,

(Reuters) – In the ornate Chinese Ballroom of Washington’s Mayflower Hotel, nine Republican state attorneys general gathered last month at a long, white-cloth covered table for an unusual news conference. One by one, as TV news cameras rolled, they catalogued their many lawsuits against President Barack Obama’s administration.

When it came to Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne’s turn, he said, “We have eight lawsuits.” One of those, defending Arizona’s new law requiring police officers to check the papers of anyone they suspect is in the U.S. illegally, will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Like the Supreme Court challenge to the Obama-sponsored healthcare law heard last month, the Arizona case is part of a larger story about an escalating battle between Republican-led states and the federal government. All but one of the 16 states that have filed “friend of the court” briefs on the Arizona side have Republican governors. Meanwhile, all of the 11 states lining up with the Obama administration are led by Democrats.

The article is written by Joan Biskupic and can be read in it’s entirety here.  However the point is, quit being a political mouthpiece for the current Obama regime and start reporting the news Reuters.  Your bias is blatant and discredits you.  Making an effort to come across as more neutral may sell more advertising.  Then again, maybe sensationalism brings more revenue?  That helped William Randolf Hearst to build his empire of manipulation.

The fact is federal and state governments need to work together, not be taking legal action.  The buck stops and start with the office of President, no matter what party is there at the time.

Another Broken Obama Promise- The Federal Election Commission (FEC)

Bloomberg reports on another broken Obama promise.

Barack Obama pledged as a presidential candidate to strengthen the Federal Election Commission and nominate members “committed to enforcing our nation’s election laws.”

Since taking office, he hasn’t pushed for achievement of either goal.

The president has taken no action to reshape the FEC, even as five of the six commissioners are serving on expired terms. In the meantime, the FEC deadlocked along party lines on whether to consider requiring nonprofits spending millions of dollars on political ads to disclose their donors.

America Is Floundering, America Needs a President Who Understands Business

(BrightCitizen.com)  Barak Obama has proven to America and the world that he is clueless in business.  Gas prices are at their highest level (over $4/gallon), businesses aren’t hiring for fear of more regulations, and American universities are beginning to lose their shine for international students. His constant cries for “Tax the rich” are pure attempts to buy the votes of the less fortunate.

The United States of America needs a President that understands business and understands people.  We are excited about Mitt Romney because he understands business and has done a good job in it.  Looking forward to 2013 when our newly elected president takes office.

The Never Ending Campaigning Of The Current President Of The United States of America

(BrightCitizen.com)  Barak “Barry” Hussein Obama went from Harvard University to Illinois State Senator in Washington DC to get elected to President of the United States due to the distain for closest competitor Hillary Clinton.  People didn’t know Barak as he had little to no record as well as no experience to go with that record.

Since getting elected Barak has made a constant effort to blame his shortcomings on other organizations or people.  His blaming of former President George W. Bush has become a common joke illustrating that point.

The biggest question is as Obama attempts to get reelected on a very poor first term, will he ever be able to stop campaigning if he were able to somehow deceive people into getting him elected for a second term.

Barak Obama’s Tax The Rich! Calls Draw Suspicion

(BrightCitizen.com)  Americans are becoming increasingly skeptical of Barak Obama’s calls for ‘taxing the rich’ as some type of artificial hope that more taxation on wealthier American’s can fix the American Federal government’s financial woes.

Boca Raton, Fla. –  President Obama forged ahead Tuesday his election-year insistence that the wealthiest Americans pay a greater share of taxes, telling Florida college students that everybody must help rebuild the country.

Hoping to draw a sharp contrast with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Obama gave his support to the so-called “Buffett rule” — which would change the U.S. tax law so that Americans making $1 million or more would have to pay at least 30 percent of their income in federal taxes.

Referenced here.  Economists agree that increased taxation on the rich cannot cover the overspending government programs and high debts increased recently by Obama administration policy and previous governments as well.

Barak Obama needs to unite Americans and bring solid fiscal policy to the United States federal government.

The Rush To Make The Public Pay For the Abortion Of Children

Why is it that everyone is so keen to get us (by making insurance companies) pay for the abortions of sexually active people?  The Washington State government is trying to do just despite the nation going against that.

But the Washington state bill runs counter to restrictions being taken up everywhere from Virginia to Texas.

The proposal would require insurers that cover maternity care to also cover abortions, while providing a conscience exemption. The first-of-its-kind rule was touted by several pro-choice groups, including NARAL Pro-Choice America — which called the bill “commonsense legislation protecting women’s access to basic reproductive health care coverage.”

We know that the Obama administration has no intention of defending the laws that don’t seem to benefit themselves despite their duty to uphold the laws of the land.  This may be why Obama has replaced Jimmy Carter as America’s worst president for avoiding partisan politics.

Rick Santorum Defeats Mitt Romney In Iowa US Presidential Primary

It’s official. Congratulations to Rick Santorum for beating Mitt Romney in the Iowa US Presidential.  Read more here.

Oops! Turns out Rick Santorum beat Mitt Romney in Iowa. Does it matter?

A new vote tally shows Rick Santorum won the Iowa caucuses by 34 votes over runner-up Mitt Romney. But aside from bragging rights, the shift in results is unlikely to affect the GOP race.

Now probably time for Mr. Santorum to retire and get behind Newt Gingrich.  Mitt Romney is just not good enough.

What Is Former US President Jimmy Carter Thinking?

(BrightCitizen.com)  Clearly many people see Jimmy Carter as America’s worst president.  That is reflected in his polling numbers as president and failure to get re-elected.  Despite his poor performance as a whole, he was a frequent critic of US President George Bush II and has constantly been vocally expressing his opinion on the media stage.

Now Carter is involved in Egyptian politics as you can see in a video here.  Do we really need former US president’s involved in the politics of other countries?  Is this what former are President’s supposed to do?

It is noble to want to help other countries, but as his positions don’t seem to reflect the feelings of the American people in general, we wonder when we will be free of this former President.

Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) Is Washington Out Of Control, Again

(BrightCitizen.com) Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX) and thirty-one other elected representatives from both the Democratic and Republican parties are trying to legislate the internet.

In November they came up with SOPA or HR 3261 as a legislative response to the myriads of phishing, illegal meds, and various other illegal or immoral sites on the internet.  They want businesses to police the net.  They idea is novel but the other parallel here would be Dodd Frank that only added financial firms millions in extra costs. You cannot legislate morality.

Despite the law not being implemented yet (just came up in November right?), things have already happened to one David Rusenko who founded a website hosting business called Weebly.com getting a call from GoDaddy.com saying that there has been a complaint about his website and his sites will be taken down.  You can read his story here.

After that trouble, he quickly transferred his domains away from GoDaddy.  As did Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales after hearing about GoDaddy’s support for SOPA. Still not sure what Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is?  There is a pretty respectable write up on Wikipedia here.

We really need term limits in the United States Congress as these people are in their positions too long and seem to lose contact with what the people (business people) need in order to pay the representatives salaries (through taxes).
