Most breast cancer patients who get preventive double mastectomy don’t need it

Angelina Jolie(BrightCitizen.com)  CBSnews recently reported on breast cancer.  In their article opening they say,

Most breast cancer patients who opt for prophylactic mastectomy — surgery to remove their healthy breast as a precaution — are actually at very low risk for breast cancer recurrence. A new study, published today in JAMA Surgery, found that as many as 70 percent of women who opt for contralateral prophylactic mastectomy — removing both the cancerous and normal breast — don’t actually need it because their chance for developing the disease again is quite low.  More here.

When one known actress Angelina Jolie announced a double mastectomy, we thought it a bit fearful move.  This news seems to confirms that initial conclusion.

Amazon, The Near Monopoly And Backstreet Bully

Jeff Bezos(BrightCitizen.com)  Amazon, the retail window for nearly 1/3 of America’s book selling is bullying.  What is happening?  Amazon is  discouraging customers from buying books by Malcolm Gladwell, Stephen Colbert, J. D. Salinge, and many others.  Why?

These books are under the large publisher Hachette.  Hachette publishes under various brands, but Amazon is trying to force them to bow to their sales power and demands.  So how do they do it?  When you search for the Stephen Colbert book on Amazon.com, they have raised the price by $2-5 dollars more than Barnes & Noble.  However, if you really want to buy it, the king of 2-day shipping says you will need to wait several weeks to receive your product.

This raises concerns among publishers as well as their customers.  Amazon is just becoming a bit too powerful.  Even ultra-left New York Times is writing about it here.  Others are saying it’s time for the  US government antitrust auditors to visit the Seattle-based Amazon.  However there could be fear of Amazon and the Jeff Bezos empire.  After all, he now owns WaPo (the Washington Post) in Washington DC and may pressure them much like William Randolph Hearst flexed his media muscles in years past.

Will The True False Teacher, Please Stand Up? Insights On Hank Hanegraaff And Michael Houdmann

religious-bigotry(BrightCitizen.com) For years, American’s have put up with a lot of negativity and personal attacks on politicians by other politicians.  This is something that is common here in America as well as abroad.  Unfortunately, politics are a way of life anywhere that there are a large number of people.  Another problem is that personal attacks have not been limited to politics.

America is known as originally being established by Christians fleeing the tyranny of the United Kingdom.  Therefore, a huge part of the success of America is it’s freedom of religion.  America has grown due to the freedom for American’s to pick a church to attend that suits them, or not to attend church at all.  The majority of American’s go to church every Sunday but that number is changing.

Despite that freedom, there are religious witch-hunters in America trying to impose their views of God on others who unfortunately bring politics into the Christian realm.  There are those who preclude that they have all the answers and their interpretations on the Bible is God’s truth.  Unfortunately, this has brought much anger and resentment in the body of Christ.

Two such examples are Dutch immigrant Hank Hanegraaff and Colorado-based Michael Houdmann.  Both men, seem to have self-endowed authority to interpret the Bible as they see fit and impose their views on Christians.  Hank is known for his influence in the US through his Christian Research Institute (CRI) and American Bible Answer Man talk show.  Michael imposes his views through his GotQuestions.org and family of other related websites he runs.  Both men solicit funds through their websites, while critiquing others who do the same.

Instead of fostering unity among the various groups of believers, both men are busy deciding who is a cult and what group is not a cult.  What is God, and what is not God.  Combined the two men make very divisive and questionable statements such as

The list of debatable topics goes on and on and frustration has hit the wall.  Have the religious crucifiers reappeared?  Those such as the Pharisees who studied the law so much but didn’t recognize Jesus when He came?  Christians have become frustrated with this misinformation and are beginning to see people who criticize Bible-based Christians as being false as a source to be re-evaluated.  The tables have turned and the self proclaimed Bible experts are no longer the ones labeling people false teachers.  Both Hanegraaf and Houdman have been labeled false teachers themselves.  Pastors, teachers and other church leaders have risen up and started calling them out on their divergent and divisive Bible teachings of those who are in ministry and serving.

Rather than fingerpointing and name-calling, it is a good idea for the group to evaluate themselves before calling someone else false or of the devil.  America needs that freedom to worship again and people need to recognize just because someone’s beliefs vary from yours, that doesn’t make them false.  Especially, when they have Biblical precedent to stand on and your judgment is based on your interpretation.  Besides isn’t it the Christians who are supposed to love each other?  Well then, one might ask, “Who are the true Christians?”

Been an amazing Q1

Wow! It’s been an amazing q1 at AINEO and our group companies.

We’ve added excellent new members to our team (and we interview nearly 30 people for one position on average)

Just under 3000 more people have come under our phone services

Several very big name firms (that most people use every day) have come under our service.

We’ve been expanding and updating our datacenters.

In March nearly 30 sites not only showed they liked us, they asked us to do more Technical
services through our TRIBE Support team.

Am so thankful for all the incredible votes of confidence and progress on our services.
Very excited about 2014. I see even better things coming.

What’s Wrong With The New Noah Movie By Darren Aronofsky

Russell Crowe as Noah

(BrightCitizen.com) First and foremost, the producer Darren Aronofsky is a self-confirmed atheist trying to profit off the story of Noah. Rather than trying to stay true to the Biblical history and story, he uses over the top creative license to shoot a movie devoid of Bible credibility.
First off Mr. Aronofsky seems to be trying to make money off of the current flood (pardon the pun) of popular Bible-based or Christian movies. The difference is they are mostly made by Christians who know the Word of God.
The screen writer decided rather than trying to stick to the Judeo-Christian roots of the story, he stated,

“We didn’t want to make it Jewish or Christian, we wanted to make it a more universal story”. Hence, rather than mentioning God in the movie, the movie substitutes “the Creator” a number of times.

The story of Noah is only 3 chapters of Genesis. We don’t have any narrative of anything Noah actually said. But we do know what he did. Noah’s story is about the early earth where sin overran the earth in the form of violence and sexual sin. However, this movie tells people that God destroyed the world due to mining, people eating animals, and the building of cities.
Noah is a powerful story of how one man’s faith can save a generation. However, this movie climaxes with Noah (Russell Crowe) standing over his newly born grandchildren on the arc trying to decide whether or not to kill the babies or not.
Reviewer Todd Starnes says,

“Hollywood director Darren Aronofsky promised to create the least biblical, biblical movie ever made. And based on the early reviews of his film — Mr. Aronofsky made good on his promise.
He left the word “God” completely out of his movie and turned Noah into a crazed environmentalist with anger management issues who wants to slaughter his family.”

The actors on opening night commented on how people can’t say anything negative about the flick unless they’ve seen it. Well, again that sounds a bit like employees of a company telling someone to try their product before the complaining about it. Well, how many people would buy a product when there friend already told you it fell short. In this case, if you want to see Noah on the big screen true to the Bible, then you are wasting your money.

If you want to see a faith-building movie, God’s Not Dead or Son Of God would be better options.
