It’s Spring 2017 in Tokyo!

The last few years it seems like these blossoms are my “Spring-o-meter”.  On a chilly Tokyo morning, when you see these little guys coming out, you know Spring is not far away.  Have gotten to know the Buddhist priest and his wife that look after this pretty well as it’s in front of a Buddhist building.

Any botanists out there that know what kind of plant this is?
